A day in the life of a full time Housekeeper
Being the full time domestic couple live in UK, is a lot more than just keeping the house clean. My aim is always to create and maintain a comfortable, organised space for everyone in the household. It’s about discovering the right balance of routine and awareness of detail, so that the home is a welcoming and functional destination to live. A typical day Morning Housekeeping Generally, according to the families’ routines, I like to start with walking round your home, opening windows to air the rooms, and collecting laundry and stripping beds if it’s a bed changing day. Then I will placed on the first load of laundry and empty and refill the dishwasher. I think that it’s essential that the kitchen always looks presentable, so I will tidy up from breakfast clean your home so it’s clean and tidy. I then go upstairs; I like to originate from the top and work down. I begin by making the beds and tidying each room as I go. I make sure that all the bathrooms have had a clean, with all the countertops wiped down, towels, changed, mirrors shiny, toilets cleaned and supplies fully stocked. The aim is perfect for the bathroom to be clean, hygienic and welcoming. Then it’s on to the communal areas, which involves picking up any things that are out of place, plumping pillows, and folding blankets. I generally vacuum and clean the floors, daily. By this point in my day, the laundry needs attention, so I sort, wash, iron and fold clothes, ensuring everything is put away neatly. Some days, I will leave the ironing until last, particularly when there is a lot of ironing, that is very common in a large family Afternoon Housekeeping After lunch, it’s time for deep cleaning, this generally includes include dusting furniture, deep cleaning bathrooms, scrubbing your kitchen and bathroom floors. This is when I pull out all of the furniture and customarily concentrate on a couple of areas on a daily basis to keep your entire house in perfect order. In the late afternoon, its either ironing, or organising and decluttering different parts of the home. This could be anything from rearranging a cupboard to sorting via a wardrobe. Keeping things organised makes daily cleaning less difficult. Sometimes I may have errands to do, maybe even a dog walk. Finally, I prep dinner and make sure the kitchen is left clean and tidy for the family. I execute a final check of your home, to make sure everything is in its place then its home time. To assist me stay organised, I keep a schedule and checklist, this also means that nothing gets overlooked and helps me stay on track and ensures nothing is overlooked.
